Huge success at the first Beach Tennis Open in Bern of July 3, 2011!
With the attendance of 30 teams between men's double and women's double, in a perfect summertime day, 60 beach tennis players took part at the first Open Tournament in Bern valid for the national ranking. Winners of the day were the brothers Ralph e Yves Bossart who beated in final the Bern's team Meier / Mäder.

Results of the German Indoors Munich
In the women's doubles, the team Brunschwig/Galli was beated in the first round by Hinterseer/Jolk, a German team.
In the men's doubles, the team Meixner/Schudel won the first round of the qualification draw against a Bulgarian team. The Swiss gave in to the Spanish
in the second round. They consequently did not get the qualification for the main draw.
The other Swiss player Fornasier, in team with the notorious Czech Kozusnik, won the first turn of the main draw, beating in three sets the Germans
Blankl/Trueg. Fornasier was stopped at the quarters of final against the Austrian team Schmidt/Weber, the latter finalists of the tournament.

This weekend the German Indoors Beachtennis 2011 will take place in Munich. This tournament is valid for the ITF ranking. Some Swiss players will be present as well. In the women's double: Laura Galli (LBT)/Nicole Brunschwig (BTBB), seed number 4 of the main draw. In the men's double: Markus Meixner/Steven
Schudel (both from BTBB), and Yves Fornasier (LBT) in team with the Czech Kuzosnik, the latter seed number 5. More

Milan, FIT tournament - the women's doubles Galli/De Marco (both from the Lugano Beach Tennis club) won the tournament, beating in final the team Monti/Pizzi with the result of 6-2, 7-5.
In the men's doubles, the team Fornasier/Acierno (both from Lugano Beach Tennis) lost in the semifinals against Angelotti/Salvati for 6-3, 7-5. Read the article

Turin – Good result for the Swiss team Fornasier/Acierno at the last FIT tournament in Turin. They, in fact, reached the final, where they met the couple from Milan Penza/Angelotti who, the latter, won for 9-7. Read the article
